set the alarm for 7:00 this morning. mostly feel better. just a bit blah and low energy. actually got up at 7:40 or so.

chores in the am. left at around 12:30 to get e. at the airport. took her car because my car was nearly out of gas. turns out her car is nearly out of gas. oh boy.

went to the vet to get a cat food prescription for karma on the way to the airport. stopped at shell to get gas.

excellent candy.

car wouldn't start at the shell station. dead battery. i figured the guy behind me with the home-made camper back on his pickup must have jumper cables. he did and he gave me a jump. nice guy but he reminded me of mel gibson in conspiracy theory. charleston, wv cops murdered his dog. his truck was stolen at knife point. lots of amazing stories in about 8 minutes but he did take the trouble to give me a jump and check the battery and so on. friendly but possibly psychotic. what the hell.

got to the airport at about 2:00. the arrivals board was quite confusing. it seemed to say that the plane had landed early but nobody had showed up at the carousel by 2:10. i decided to get a coffee because the Starbucks was right there.

snack

quite good. Elizabeth got to the carousel about 5 minutes before her suit case. must have been a record. usually we wait for hours until the bag arrives.

we stopped at panera on the way home for lunch.

tasty. hadn't been to panera in some time.

petsmart and target after that.

good sandwich. kind of boring soup.

we watched antiques roadshow and an episode of frasier in the evening. going to bed early. have to get up at 6 in the morning. looks like it's going to be cold tonight!

something i ate on saturday or maybe just my weird eating habits over the last few days came back to get me in the night. i was in and out of the bathroom from about 2 to 6. called in to wegmans around 6:30. could not get my act together. finally got downstairs around 7:00 and got some pepto. managed to get to sleep around 7:30. slept until 11.

just drank water and juice in the morning. it took all day to do the chores that normally take less than an hour.

watched a lot of tv. six simpsons episodes, the second half of running down a dream, not another teen movie.

dinner

a little pasta
iced tea

stomach felt mostly normal by the evening.

in bed by 10:30 but couldn't sleep. finally fell asleep before midnight.

0905 / 39 deg f / raining

the rain was falling as sleet when i woke up at 7:30. quite cold. really could use a day off!

schedule is 10:30 to 4:00 today. i had planned to go by the vets on the way to work but i didn't get up early enough.

worked through till 4:00. it snowed off and on. quite cold.

at wegmans. good. got a few things at wegmans on the way home.

got home at around 4:30. fed the cats. did some chores.

i watched part one of running down a dream. really liked it.

felt very cold in the morning. set the alarm for 7:30. felt very tired when I woke up and reset for 8:15. actually got up at 8:00.

don't feel too well today.

they say it will probably snow tomorrow. oct. 29 snow. west of here they may get 9 to 12 inches. in october. wow.

went to work at wegmans at 3:30. started to rain as i got there.

worked from 3:30 to about 6:00 up front. 6:00 to 6:45 started to set up for movie night. got real busy so i went back up front from 6:45 to about 8:00. helped clean up after the movie from 8:00 to about 8:20. then register till about 9:00. steadily busy until about 8:30. much lighter to me from 8:30 on.

got home at about 9:30 after picking up a few things at the store. cold rain on the way home.

fed the kitzies. did not give karma a shot since it was so late.

watched some of the baseball game. watched an episode of the odd couple.

have to get up at 7:30 tomorrow.

supposed to snow!

the yard may never be dry again!

i did not set the alarm thinking i would wake up around 8:00. woke up at 8:40. fed the cats early in the am.

started mopping the floor in the am.

worked on projects and did chores in the house until around 2:00. ran errands in the afternoon.

at chick-fil-a in warrenton. sandwich and fries were pretty good. slaw was bland. library and post office after chick-fil-a.

snack

lemon pound cake

at starbucks near warrenton.

the quizno's next to the starbucks is now a subway.

did not feel well in the afternoon. managed to do a little work but really felt sick.

good sandwich.

watched the incredibles in the evening. went to bed at about 10:30.

woke up at 7:30. kiz and karma came to let me know it was time to get up. got downstairs at around 8:00.

lots of chores. cats. meds. dishes. laundry.

very sore feet in the evening. came home at 8:20 or so and fed the kitsies. they were hungry!

watched volume 3 of the old grey whistle test on dvd. they may have saved the best for last. really enjoyed the performances.

went to bed late. after midnight.

elizabeth is going to atlanta today. she's not looking forward to it.

got up at 7:00.

took elizabeth to the airport at around 9:45. we got to the airport at about ten of ten. i stopped at anita's in chantilly in case elizabeth had any trouble with the plane.

not as good as it used to be. i was too late for breakfast.

two guys making a sales pitch at the next table. thanks. isn't that what offices are for?

elizabeth called around 4:00. she is at the marriot marquis. she said everything went very well at the airport. she had a chance to get a snack before the plane. hotel is near the metro but hard to find.

i watched adventureland in the evening. i was expecting a comedy. not a comedy but i liked the movie.

bed around 11:30. got all of the cats in. one of the cats slept with me for part of the night but i couldn't tell which one.
