went to the recycling site at around 9:30. tons of stuff to recycle. i always wait too long to make a trip. really nice day out. sunny. fairly warm. not too windy.

did laundry and worked on county histories for the rest of the morning and early afternoon.

cassoulet was very good.
watched bells are ringing while eating lunch. enjoyed it. not great but very solid. kept reminding me of songs in the royal wedding. turns out, though, that the fred astaire movie is alan jay lerner while bells are ringing is comden and green and jule styne. it also did remind me of the band wagon which is comden and green.
not feeling well in the afternoon. got a bit more work done.
e. came home when i was in the shower.
