dropped the car off at the mechanic at 8:00. hard to find the place. i did not realize there were so many businesses back in that area.

e. picked me up from the garage. i wore my new jacket. nice but not warm enough for the temps this morning. beautiful outside. watched the clouds casting their shadows over the mountain.

vet called in the early afternoon. karma has an e coli infection. told her k. is not tolerating the clavamox. she says there is an antibiotic they can inject that should clear up this infection. e. will try to take her this afternoon.

Mike's mom was very old and frail.

chatted for a while. all seemed to be nice folks. jamie is retiring and moving to panama. wow. mike is thinking of retiring to some property he owns in canada.

woke up at 6:30. got up early to take elizabeth to the vre and get to the doctor's office by nine.

fasting this morning for doctor's appointment.

we left for the vre a little earlier than usual. made the train in plenty of time. after today e. has nearly two weeks off. hope she has a nice time. candy will be here on thursday through early morning monday.

got to the doctor's office about 20 minutes early.

appointment went pretty well.

starving by the time i was finished.

got up at 5:30 this am. interview at bna and i need to catch the vre fairly early.

we got to the vre with time to spare. arrived at crystal city before nine.

elizabeth told me that kiz passed away this morning. very surprising. very sad. apparently she was having heart problems and a blood clot in her lung finished her off. poor, sweet, baby. very loving and lovable cat!

went to target while betty went to the eye doctor. got home at about 4:45.

felt very tired when we got home. walking in the wind today really seemed to drain me. and feeling sad about kizzie. such a wonderful cat.

we found big on cable and watched most of it. hard to believe that that move is nearly 25 years old. (23!) enjoyed it. e. went to bed a bit early. very upset about kizzie.

i watched part of van wilder. napped on the couch (a little fever as well, i thought). watched an episode of big bang theory.

hard to get moving this morning. managed to read my email and check a few things before getting ready to go to wegmans.

worked from 10:30 to a little after 3:00. saw nora during my break. short shift today so it wasn't too bad.
