FDR died on this date in 1945. I've seen newsreel footage of people weeping in the streets as the funeral train goes by. He died in Warm Springs, GA and was buried on the family estate at Hyde Park, NY. I can't begin to conceive of how a person could cope with the decisions FDR had to make. He doesn't seem to get nearly as much consideration as is warranted.

star trek with breakfast. interesting episode with Diana Muldaur as an empath. she would later play Dr. Pulaski in ST:TNG. i looked her up on Wikipedia. she graduated from Sweet Briar College in 1960. who'd a thunk it? Jon Stuart's from W&M. Tina Fey's a wahoo.

waited in the morning for the guy to come from Cecil's. didn't know whether he'd need help getting the lawn tractor out of the shed. i was told he was on the way at 11:00.

kept looking out for the lawn mower guy. finally decided to leave it to fate and take care of the groceries.
as i came out of the shower i saw the truck pull up. got dressed and found some shoes and heard the mower start up. next thing i know he's driving it onto the flatbed. i couldn't get the thing to move. i guess the drive belt slipped off and he put it right. i guess it helps to know what you are doing. i have a dread of reaching under a lawn mower. even if it is off. it's like putting your hand down a disposer. can't do it.
anyway, it's nice to know the transmission isn't shot.

donut from Wegmans, right good as they say in Carolina. caffe mocha from Caribou Coffee in Bristow. (Is it Bristow?) Also markedly good.
The Caribou Coffee in Bristow is my favorite coffee spot in this area. If I could I would have my office there.
I watched big bang theory on tv. poor leonard.
penny looks like she's been going to a trainer.
wil wheaton. never liked the guy. i may like him less than sheldon does.
