hit the snooze button twice this morning. reluctant to get up. moved slowly all morning after i did get up.

decided to take the 7:20 (330) instead of the 6:40 (328). school buses on the way to work.
lots of homeland security police at the vre platform and on the trains today.
solved the mystery of the geese today. went by 40 minutes later and saw that someone associated with that warehouse feeds the geese. the ones i see on the roof are just the early arrivals. there must have been 50 or 60 geese in the grassy area next to the warehouse. remarkable.
metro was a mess this morning. sro on the train and the trip that normally takes about 9 minutes took more than 20 today. very crowded. seemed to be a problem with the doors.
arrived at the office a little after 9:00.

met with jerry in the am. learned that his wife is a wahoo. she was class of '84 so her first year was 80-81.
