slept ok last night. no trouble getting up in the morning.

really good coffee this morning.
got to the train earlier than usual. parked closer than i've ever parked before.
stopped in the tunnel near rosslyn. driver was the most communicative one i've encountered. really appreciated that. apparently there was a small fire in the tunnel near metro center that caused a bit of a backup.
got to work at about 9:00

mgp brought donuts this morning. a group sat together and talked about ancestry for about 20 minutes.

left the office about 10 minutes early. got to the metro station in time to catch the 5:16 train but the next blue did not arrive until 5:20. i was climbing the stairs at the vre station when the train arrived. got on with just about a minute to spare. turned out elizabeth was on the same train. we texted during the ride.
