slept in a bit on the holiday. woke up at around 6:00. went back to bed. got up and went downstairs at about 8:15. didn't really know what time it was.
breakfast

called a few plumbers to find someone to check the pump in the septic tank. left messages with two different places.
used the shark again in the kitchen.
plumber came around noon. problem seems to have been with the detector. cost about $200 for the visit. the plumbing company charged double rates to the holiday. the plumber got paid his normal hourly rate. ouch.
had to go to walmart to get meds for karma so we decided to go out for lunch first.

at the longhorn steak house in warrenton. quite good.
busy at the old walmart. insulin for the kittie is now up to $134. when we first bought it a couple of years ago it cost $105 or so.

did dishes, laundry when we got home.
found 1776 on tcm in the late afternoon. ended up watching the whole movie. this seemed to be an extended version. really good movie.

had pimiento cheese on my dogs. pretty good.
we watched the end of national treasure 2 in the evening. didn't make much sense but pretty entertaining.
