lunch, friday

the check i've been waiting for finally arrived. i ran out to deposit and then had lunch at Glory Days Grill.

pittsburgher sandwich*
fries
iced tea

* corned beef, pastrami, swiss, french fries (on the sandwich) and slaw on a roll

sandwich was quite good. i think the waiter was probably a sixth grader. they look younger to me all of the time.

i've been avoiding gdg since they started opening in this area. i don't know why. perhaps their early ads were offensive or ... anyway, i had a good sandwich, the cost was on a par with ruby's or chili's, the service was decent and i watched mike & mike while i ate. what's to complain?

it does seem apparent to me that essentially any meal eaten in a restaurant includes about two times as much food as you would have at home. moral: eat at home most of the time.
