i got an estimate of what the bipap would cost after lunch. my share would be about $200 initially and $100 a month for the rental. i asked the dude how many months and he said "as long as you use the machine". so the full cost (my share + the insurance share would be about $5600. expensive bipap machines are aound $6000 on the internet. that's retail. Say $3500 wholesale. if you rent for two years the dme supplier makes a.most $7000 on an investment of approx. $3500 after recovering the initial investment.

simpler bipap machines run around $2000.

dragging in the afternoon. kept stopping to watch the scenes from Egypt. amazing situation.

walmart in the afternoon. then directly to the vre. the train was only about half as full as usual.

dinner

ham steak
mashed sweet potatoes
mixed veggies
iced tea

ham good. potatoes so so. veggies ok.

we watched mrs. mcginty's dead after dinner. for some reason the late poirot stories seem to feature absolute throngs of shit-headed people. in the early stories there are a bunch of likeable folks and one or two pigs. i don't know if it's the christie originals or the adaptations. i found this one a bore and fell asleep. elizabeth seemed to think it was ok. it did have a good cast. it also had georges (in a few scenes) and no hastings.

e. left me asleep on the couch. woke up freezing!
