woke up at 6 this morning. actually cold in the room. went down stairs and got a big glass of tea. v dry at that point.

i watched two episodes of andy griffith in the morning.

this was my lost day in 2008. i left for laos on aug. 7, 2008. i arrived in laos on aug. 9. 11 pm local time. about noon edt. so the entire day of the 8th was spent traveling.

we decided to take it easy today. didn't really have much in mind so we went to manassas with a plan to look at the furniture departments at manassas mall.

we stopped at baja fresh for lunch first

guacamole and chicken burrito
beef soft taco
chips w/ salsa
iced tea

pretty good

barnes and noble was down the way in the mall so we went in and browsed for a while. looked at eat, pray love, the tattoo chick (whatever that book is called), and our mutual friend. thought i could probably get all of them at the library and my list is already way to long anyway. ended up buying a sudoku book.

chatted with the dude about the nook. they should give away the hardware. the whole idea is to tie you in to their bookstore so why not. the real revenue is when you become a frequent buyer of e books.

by this time we were running a bit late. decided to go back to gainesville and just go through laZboy. actually found some really comfortable sofas and recliners. too bad we ain't got no dough.

pet smart and wegmans finished out the day. oh suburbia!

i watched a touch football game when we got home. surprisingly entertaining.

we were really full from lunch!

watched the last episode of lovejoy after dinner. there was a kind of rushed feel about the episode but it was nice to see all the old gang and to see how the integrated old and new.

cowboys v. bengals was on the tv. 6-0 at the half. preseason football can really be work to watch.
