elizabeth had to get up very early on friday. going to a seminar in dc. i woke up at 6:20 and she was already up.

e left at around 7:30 to go to the metro. meeting at the national press club.

i was planning to go to the gym but was having some digestion problems. decided to work until about noon and then run some errands.

got a call from the service company at about 11:30 reminding me that the guy was on his way to do the winter service on the furnace. had to revise my plan. service guy was much more thorough than usual. he seemed to really be interested in hvac. gave some advice about how to lower our electric bill which we'll try for a while.

he also said that the dripping of our water heater is a serious problem and we should get it looked at soon. he said they can replace ($900-$1000 installed depending on the size of heater we get) but whatever we do we should do something soon.

he left around 1:15. i was just about to get in the shower at 2:30 when e. came home. i thought she'd come back later. we decided to do the chores together and get some lunch in the process. bank - lunch - dry cleaner - coffee - groceries.
