i woke up at about 5:30 again. got on-line and checked email and worked until about 8:00. went downstairs at 8:00.

breakfast

bagel w/ creamcheese
banana
oj
coffee
iced tea

watched the today show and read a little. found out the king's speech is playing at fairfax towne center. decided to go see the 2:30 show.

lunch

quarter pounder
iced tea

stopped at the mcdonald's on the way to fairfax.

snack

popcorn
soda

at the movie. excellent movie. funny. sad. sweet. moving. excellent performances, costumes, music, every thing. really a great time.

the movie theater is another story. $9 to see a "matinee". $4.50 for 20 oz of coke. $6.75 for a med. popcorn.  then once you get in the theater you sit through commercial after commercial before the movie comes on. they seem to be doing their utmost to ruin the experience.

very hungry after the movie. went to cpk for dinner.

good but not as good as cpk used to be. very sleepy when we got home. watched bits and pieces on tv and napped. elizabeth watched rosemary and thyme on the upstairs tv.

it's new year's eve and once again i'm going to bed before midnight. when you've seen the ball drop, you've seen the ball drop.
