i woke up when the alarm went off at 6:10. felt miserable. dizzy. soar throat. nausea. told elizabeth i didn't think i could drive to vre today.
went back to bed.
woke up at 7:30 frantic that i was late for the train. e. was already gone.
back to sleep. did not wake up until after 10:00. felt better at that time but still not well.

reheated the coffee in the microwave. it came out ok.

we watched most of the first episode of our mutual friend. really could have used captions. some of the behavior of the people in the story seems to be entirely unbelievable.
